When the first aligner is placed on the teeth, the teeth are sore for between 1–3 days as the aligner starts to gently move the teeth. Subsequent aligners are less sore and for a shorter periods of time.
- There is very rarely a minimal temporary interference with speech and some patients experience a slight increase in salivation at the beginning of treatment for a day or so.
- Strict compliance to the treatment regimen is necessary to obtain the desired result in the projected time frame.
- Most patients rated the Invisalign experience as good to excellent.
